United are now front-runners for Bologna and Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee after tensions between Milan and his agent
are closing in on Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee after their main rivals for his signature, AC Milan, began looking for alternatives.United have made signing a forward top priority this summer, with 6ft 4ins Zirkzee seen as the perfect profile to help lessen the workload onunderstands contact has been made with Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, but no offer is on the table yet. Relations between the super agent and Milan are “difficult”, meaning Joorabchian is unlikely to lower his asking price for that particular club. The figure United expect to pay is “much less”, however, making them favourites to land the in-demand striker. Several Premier League clubs have been alerted to Roma’s stance, but Milan are understood to be the early frontrunners – though matching his Roma wages could again be a stumbling block.
