Two matches played, and two defeats have left United's hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of this season's competition firmly in the balance. Ahead of the visit of FC Copenhagen to Old Trafford on Tuesday night, there is already a desperation in the club to secure a victory.
Before their clash with Manchester City last season, Pep Guardiola outlined the difficulties their opponents will look to cause and stressed the importance of avoiding complacency. "I know the quality they have," he told reporters. "My expectations are more humble than the media who expect us to win. I am not this type of manager - never, ever.
