Sir Jim Ratcliffe is to make a second, improved offer for Manchester United, the PA news agency understands.
A first round of bidding took place last month, with perspective investors understood to have been given a deadline of 9pm on Wednesday to submit second offers.No figures have been revealed but one or more of the initial bids were reportedly in the region of £4.5billion. Ratcliffe, who made an unsuccessful bid in the region of £4.25billion to buy Chelsea in 2022, visited Old Trafford last week.
