The Qataris have issued a response to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's new bid.
But a deal to sell the Premier League outfit has yet to materialise despite the strong interest from Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim.
Amid the uncertainty of the sale, it had been reported that Man United's current American owners were considering taking theBut Ratcliffe's latest proposal caught the attention of the Glazers, who are thought to be considering the 70-year-old's offer of £1.5 billion for a 25 per cent stake.
The Qataris are standing firm on their £5 billion bid to buy 100 per cent of Man United and remain convinced the £6 billion price tag is too high. Sheikh Jassim is committed to wiping out their debts and investing in the men's and women's team as well as the academy.The takeover saga of the Red Devils continues to rumble on, with the Qataris still interested in acquiring the club despite Ratcliffe's latest play.
