There's a chance Ten Hag might entice him back to Manchester, this time donning the red of United instead of City blue, as the transfer deadline looms. One potential deal under consideration is a swap involving Sterling and United's Jadon Sancho - a player who seems to have lost Ten Hag's favour, having been omitted from the line-ups against Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion in the opening Premier League matches, reports the Mirror.
"But the tabloids were always claiming that he was arrogant. So I guess I thought he'd be ... what do the English call it? A bit of a d***head, maybe? Then I got to City and I actually met Raheem, and we'd talk a bit after training, and I thought, 'wait, this guy seems really cool? What's the story here?'
