David Roche said it was 'the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me'
A man who was bowled over by a random act of kindness from a stranger is hoping to track down the woman who helped him so he can properly thank her. David Roche, 54, from Kensington, was shopping at Tesco Extra in Cables Retail Park in Prescot on Sunday afternoon when the incredible act of kindness happened. The shop was about to close at 4pm as David had a basketful of shopping for his girlfriend Louise.
I thanked her from the bottom of my heart.' The young woman - who David thinks was in her early to mid 20s - paid for his shopping, which came to a total of £25.79, and left the receipt with him. All she bought for herself was a £3 birthday card for her dad. When David thanked her for her kindness, she simply said, 'just pay it forward'. She left the shop and David tried to catch up with her to offer to pay her back, but couldn't reach her in time.
