A man from Lenzie who claimed his neighbours' 21ft hedge was ruining his life has won a battle to have it cut down - he claims the greenery covered his home in darkness and made his life a 'misery'.
A man who claimed his neighbours' 21ft hedge was ruining his life has won a battle to have it chopped down. William Whitelaw said trees belonging to David and Alison Fulton in Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire, covered his home in darkness and made his life a misery.
East Dunbartonshire Council then ordered the Fultons to reduce some of the trees to 11 ft while others were to be taken down to 6ft. "That my garden is starved of daylight, that my enjoyment of my garden is reduced, and that the job of trimming the hedge had become dangerous and burdensome due to its height. "It is upsetting to see our garden become darker and darker every year.
