A predator who was jailed for grooming Glasgow teens online has been slammed for being able to do so 'far too easily'.
The former holiday camp manager contacted his victims, some of whom were from Glasgow, via Instagram, MyLol and Love Crush, Google Hangouts, Discord and Skype.In May 2023, he pleaded guilty to 36 separate charges including attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual communication with a child, and making two category C indecent images of children.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has since condemned Osman's predatory behaviour and said that he was 'too easily' able to use social media to abuse his victims. “Online child sexual abuse can have a devastating impact on victims which is why it is so crucial that those targeted by predators like Osman can be identified by the authorities and supported.
