Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service says it will further bolster its 'resilience'
Six senior fire officers in Greater Manchester have been given a pre-Christmas bumper pay rise. But they will have to earn it. The area managers each received a ten percent wage increase from December 1st taking their salaries from £89,340 to £96,912. They will now work an additional three days every five weeks, giving up rest days.
