The Manchester Half Marathon takes place this Sunday and is expected to see more than 24,000 people take part
The Manchester Half Marathon returns for another year as thousands of people race for charities and organisations close to their heart - all while attempting to achieve a personal best.
The Half Marathon will be taking place on Sunday and will see people venture from Old Trafford and will head through Hulme, the City Centre, Stretford, Sale, Sale Moor, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Whalley Range and end right back where it all began. There will be a number of Cheer Zones along the route where people can root on the participants - including one in Deansgate and another in Wharfside.
A travel warning has also been issued for Sunday as thousands are expected to visit Manchester for not only the half marathon, but for the Super League final between Wigan Warriors and Hull KR, which will also be happening on the same day at Old Trafford.
