Make sure you pack your brollies if you're heading out to Pride this weekend
Manchester Pride is back for 2023, with four colourful days of celebrations over the bank holiday weekend.
Saturday's parade through town will see the streets fill up, while the Gay Village will be buzzing with activity. The event will be brought to a close with the candlelit vigil on Monday night.There's set to be traffic and disruption this weekend, amid bus strikes, road closures and diversions - so make sure you take some time to plan your journey.
Make sure you have your umbrellas packed - it's going to be a wet one. According to the Met Office weather forecast, we can expect some light rain to begin after Friday lunchtime, turning heavy by the late afternoon. Saturday looks set to be a washout. Expect to wake up to heavy showers first thing, which will turn lighter as the morning continues. Annoyingly, the rain is set to turn heavy again just as the Pride Parade begins at midday.This will continue until around 5pm, when the rain will finally clear and let up for a bit of sun.
