'Manchester is hungry for new and fun stuff'
The team behind Super Awesome Deluxe will be the first to tell you it's not the only spot in Manchester city centre serving up ‘smashed’ burgers, but they reckon they’re one of only a small few to truly perfect the concept on our patch.
Using meat sourced from renowned Manchester butcher Lee "Frosty" Frost, the burgers, which are priced from £8.50 to £10.50, feature both a pleasing crispy edge and a delicious bite of caramalised flavour. Quite frankly, this is far from your usual 1am burger. Operating as a takeout, burgers can be made in less than three minutes and feature homemade house sauces, pickles and salad. The golden-cut fries, using Cheshire potatoes, on offer have been given just as much detail to their cooking process as the burgers and are cooked fresh everyday following an intense hours-heavy prep process.
The arrival of the takeaway venue, which is housed in the former Lono Cove cocktail bar, comes following a fundraising campaign launched by Beau only three months ago. Inundated with support after launching the fundraiser , the founder says its proved that Super Awesome Deluxe is something people in Manchester are craving.
