Much-loved movies are accompanied by a live orchestra
It's one thing watching a movie on the big screen, but in Manchester some of the biggest films can be viewed alongside a live orchestra.
Just minutes before the movie began the audience was told to actively participate in the show - 'make sure you cheer for your favourite parts and when your favourite characters appear'.Manchester audiences only need to be told that once and the crowd certainly obliged whenever one of the main players came on screen.
I'd never seen the movie before, but it was soon clear that I was surrounded by some of the biggest 'Twihards' around. With big numbers like Supermassive Black Hole and Decode by Paramore to belt out, it was a far cry from the more sedate showings we've been to at the venue and it really gave the band a chance to shine alongside the more delicate tracks including the iconic Bella's Lullaby.
