A compact United frustrated Arsenal well in the first-half but two trademark corners from the hosts were the difference on Wednesday evening. The Gunners took the lead just less than ten minutes after half-time as Jurrien Timber flicked the ball home at the near stick. The second came 20 minutes later from the other flank as Thomas Partey nodded the ball back across goal to deflect in off William Saliba.
