Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday. Both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances throughout the match, with Bruno Fernandes hitting the crossbar from a free-kick being the closest either side came to scoring.
Marcus Rashford tested Emiliano Martinez early on in a half of very few chances. United were forced into a change at half-time after Harry Maguire hobbled off. Matthijs de Ligt came on for the injured Maguire and Victor Lindelof was also introduced in place of Noussair Mazraoui.
The second half followed a similar pattern with neither team able to create any clear-cut chances.
