Temperatures are set to increase significantly in Manchester this weekend as we wave goodbye to the rain.

The Met Office's outlook for Friday states: "Remaining cloudy with persistent rain across the higher ground of Lancashire and Cumbria. Turning drier through the day with some brighter skies developing, especially in the south. Staying windy. Maximum temperature 19 °C."
