The suspect in the hit-and-run of a security guard in Mandaluyong City last June 5 submitted his counter affidavit on Thursday, June 23, at the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office during the second day of preliminary investigation.
Jose Antonio Sanvicente, the owner and driver of the white Toyota Rav-4 who hit and ran over security guard Christian Floralde, was accompanied by his lawyer Atty. Danny Macalino as he submitted his counter affidavit.
Meanwhile, Floralde’s lawyer, Atty. Federico Biolena, said that his client did not attend the second day of the hearing because his client is still recovering from the injuries he sustained from the incident.On June 7, the Mandaluyong City police filed frustrated murder and abandonment of one’s own victim charges against San Vicente at the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office.
Floralde said on June 10 that he will pursue a case against Sanvicente following his discharge from the VRP Medical Center.
