The attacker emerged from a car and then fled the scene
The 25-year-old victim was walking along Eglinton Street on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, 2022.He got back in the car which then sped off towards Bridge Street and the city centre.
Cops are trying to track down the attacker and they are also eager to hear from a passer-by who stopped to help the victim. PC Reece Paterson-Hogg said: “Despite extensive enquiries, we have been unable to track down the person responsible for this attack. “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area or who may have dash-cam footage from Eglinton Street around this time.”Anyone with information is urged to contact Police"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
