If you wanted to bring friends along to battle neighboring lords, you’re not going to be happy. Here’s why we think Manor Lords would benefit a great deal from multiplayer and co-op support.

Manor Lords will not have multiplayer at launch on PC and Xbox consoles. It will be a single-player game when it releases on April 26, 2024 for Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store. Over on, the developer has mentioned that they “want to polish the single-player element first before considering multi,” indicating that it may be a possibility in the future. also had the developer mention that it “would be cool to add later on.

Considering the unique connections between resources and decisions in Manor Lords, co-op support would drastically change how one would approach the city builder. And that’s before combat is thrown into the mix. One player could focus on siege engines while another brings in the cavalry and spearmen. With no official roadmap in sight, we’ll have to wait and see if these features eventually end up in Manor Lords.

Multiplayer might end up being a post-launch addition to the game. But for now, you’ll have to stick to your settlements inspired by 14th century architecture.
