Nineties boy band East 17 will headline
The countdown to Christmas begins in Mansfield on Sunday November 27 with a full day of entertainment before the big switch-on after dark. The fun starts from 10am with a Christmas market on West Gate, reindeers and elves on stilts, a roller skating bauble entertainer and a giant interactive snow globe.
The big switch on is back with a retro Christmas party vibe, in Mansfield Market Place from 3pm, with a stage show hosted by Mansfield 103.2. No tickets are required and admission is free.. The band, famous for hits such as Stay Another Day will perform a 30-minute set from 4.30pm in the run up to the lights being switched on. The group, named after the postcode of the East London district in which they grew up, notched up 18 top-20 singles and four top-10 albums in the 1990s.
