A strong Celtic B side featuring Marco Tilio, Mikey Johnston and Yuki Kobayashi battled to a 1-1 draw with Ayr United, Corey Thomson striking late to deny Michael Moffat the glory on his testimonial.
New signing from Australia Liam Bonnetig strolled it in the heart of defence alongside the more senior Yuki Kobayashi while Kwon, who has endured a tricky start to life in Scotland, started in an experimental midfield three which included Tilio in a more central role than many fans might have expected to see when the lineup came out.
Celtic starting XI: Morrison, Dede, Frame, Bonnetig, Kobayashi, Kwon, Tilio, Kelly, Vata, Carse, Johnston Ideguchi said: "I must admit I was surprised when I was asked if I could play as a striker since I have never played there in my career. But I really enjoyed it and managed to provide a couple of assists.
