President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. wants to ensure that "systems are all in place" before he leaves the Department of Agriculture, saying he's staying as Agriculture chief for now.
The President has been sitting as DA Secretary since he assumed the presidency last year. Marcos joked that he already asked personalities to volunteer for the post, but they do not want him to leave the DA. The President explained that the country had experienced crisis when it came to food supply and food prices during the pandemic, noting that he wants to address these first, especially the country's food production.
"Ngayon, more or less the prices of agriculture commodities are beginning, they have not yet been stabilized, are beginning to stabilize.
