"I think at least the immediate concerns have been addressed. I'm looking at the casualty rate and I think it's not too bad considering that this was a surprise flashflood that we did not expect. Hindi tayo nakapaghanda," Marcos said during a situation briefing on Wednesday.

For President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., the casualty rate brought by the shear line in Northern Mindanao, specifically in Misamis Oriental, was not too bad.

"I think it's one of the reasons hindi masyadong mataas 'yung ating casualty rate in some of our disaster areas. I think we have addressed the immediate problems like support for our evacuees, the support of people who are right now nasa alanganin silang kaunti dahil sa baha," he added.
