President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and Lao People's Democratic Republic Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on Wednesday vowed to work together to improve the two countries education sectors.

LABUAN BAJO—President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Lao People's Democratic Republic Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on Wednesday vowed to work together to improve the two countries education sectors.

“We have 2,000 more or less Filipino nationals who are living in Lao and working in Lao PDR and we are very proud of the contributions that they have made, especially in the educational sector,” Marcos said. Marcos further said the two countries could boost the professional exchanges in terms of work, saying the similarities between the Philippines and Lao “have been well noted and are to the advantage of” both countries.Meanwhile, Siphadone relayed an invitation for Marcos to have a state visit to Lao PDR.

In return, Marcos also extended an invitation to the Prime Minister and his President to visit the Philippines.
