Singer Mariah Carey says her 'heart is broken' as she reveals that her mum and sister died on the same day as she announces their tragic passing in statement
Mariah Carey has heartbreakingly revealed that her mum, Patricia, and sister Alison died on the same day over the weekend.
"I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed. I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time."Patricia was an opera singer and vocal coach before she, and Alfred Roy Carey, welcomed her three children, Alison, Mariah and Morgan.
In her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, the star wrote: "Like many aspects of my life, my journey with my mother has been full of contradictions and competing realities. It's never been only black-and-white — it's been a whole rainbow of emotions.
