The 27-year-old is hitting just .120 this season through 25 at-bats, but he comes in with a former top prospect pedigree and a bit of a resume. He hit 17 homers for Washington and drove in 65 runs during the 2019 season when the Nationals won the World Series. If this role is going to only play sparingly, then it makes sense to give it to him.
