The Governor of the Bank of England said leaving without a deal would bring an “instantaneous shock” to the British economy and could sink the pound to a 34-year low.
As the Government “turbocharged” its no-deal preparations, the Bank warned the UK had a one in three chance of the economy shrinking – even if the UK leaves with a deal.
