Former Coventry City manager Mark Robins is in the running for the managerial positions at Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.
Former Manchester United striker Mark Robins has been linked with a return to management following his dismissal by Coventry City earlier this year. Robins was fired by the Sky Blues in November despite leading the club to impressive successes in recent years. He oversaw promotions from Leagues Two and One, reached the Championship play-off final, and guided Coventry to the FA Cup semi-finals where they lost to United on penalties.
However, after a poor start to the current season, he was replaced by Frank Lampard. Now, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in appointing Robins as their new managers. United fans remember Robins fondly for his contribution to the club. His goal in the 1990 FA Cup third round victory over Nottingham Forest, which helped United win 1-0, prevented Sir Alex Ferguson from being sacked after a difficult start to his tenure. Ferguson went on to become a legendary figure at United, winning numerous trophies including two Champions Leagues, 13 top-flight titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, and the Club World Cup
