Gradina prospect in Serbia shaping as a potential development opportunity

Investors are eagerly awaiting upcoming drilling in March of Strickland Metals' Gradina target in Serbia as the prospect continues to emerge as a potential high-grade gold development opportunity.Latest results included 14.3m grading 8 grams per tonne gold from 517m, with the true width of the mineralisation unknown.Of big interest is the up-dip potential, with Strickland reporting "a vertical extent of circa 150-400m below surface is completely untested with drilling".

"Given the limited historical drilling at Gradina, we did not assess a development scenario for Gradina in our , instead favouring inclusion within our overall exploration upside case," Canaccord said today."We believe continued exploration success at Gradina will call for a rethink of a future mining plan and may see the deposit co-developed with Shanac."A maiden resource estimate for the prospect is targeted for the second half of the year.
