Rangers are plotting a move to sign defensive midfielder Marko Soldo in the January transfer window,senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the club’s financial position has cast doubt over their ability to get the deal over the line in January.
However, the Glasgow club have been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old’s progress for a while and are now interested in securing a deal for his signature. A Croatian Under-21 international, Soldo is very highly though of in his home country and his club are reluctant to see him leave mid-way through the season.Rangers have struggled for defensive midfield options so far this season, with the likes of Nicolas Raskin, Mohamed Diomande and Conor Barron better utilised further forward.
