An RAF serviceman has landed himself in trouble and a military prison after going AWOL to appear on the reality TV show Married at First Sight UK. Alex Henry took unauthorised leave from his post at an electronic warfare unit to chase love and fame on Channel 4's hit dating series.
RAF Spadeadam is known by the air force as Europe's "only Electronic Warfare Tactics facility" and is where aircrews can practise manoeuvres and tactics against a variety of threats and targets that they face in combat situations. Alex, who joined the Married At First Sight UK line-up earlier this week, is a 28 year old looking to shed his 'man about town' image in pursuit of lasting love. The E4 series is known for its unique approach, with singles meeting their partners for the first time at the altar.
