Martin Lewis has announced he will be taking a career break for the rest of 2024, as he bid farewell to his social media followers with a heartfelt message. The financial guru and founder of the popular money-saving website Money Saving Expert shared a Christmas post last night (December 24) with his 3.1 million followers. He informed them of his temporary step back from work and social media for a festive break that will extend into the New Year.
Martin expressed his warm wishes, saying: 'I'm signing off social media and work for the festive break now. I would like to wish all who celebrate a joyous, peaceful, and warm-hearted Christmas and a very happy New Year. Thank you all for your continued support.' He also promised to return in 2025 with renewed vigour, ready to help save people money, adding: 'I'll see you back in 2025 fit and raring to go, and hopefully I'll save you some money next year too.' However, Martin also acknowledged those who may find the festive season challenging, offering words of comfort: 'For those who find this time of year difficult, or grief filled or lonely, may your passage through it be easy with more smiles than you're expecting.' Recognising the importance of support during tough times, he provided contact information for several helplines available throughout the holidays, including Age UK, Beat, CALM, Combat Stress, The Compassionate Friends, Cruse Bereavement Support, and Samaritans, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone, reports the Express.
