The Money Saving Expert has been a regular fixture on the ITV programme, having answered important questions on energy bills, switching bank accounts, and savings, amid the soaringHowever, Lewis will now be off screen for several months as he takes a break from presenting duties. Announcing his temporary exit before the credits rolled, Lewis said: ‘This is my last programme before Christmas. I won’t be back until March because I’ve got my show coming on in the New Year.’
‘Can I just wish everybody a very Merry Christmas, a very Happy New Year, and, especially after a Million Minutes, to those of you who will be going through grief and loneliness this Christmas, may you have more smiles than you are expecting, may you have more joy than you’re expecting,’ he added.The Money Saving Expert announced his hiatus at the end of Wednesday’s programme Martin’s co-presenter Kate Garraway then turned to him and thanked him for ‘really helping a lot of people this year’.
