The MoneySavingExpert.com team has issued a warning to pensioners who might miss out on the Winter Fuel Payment
Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.com has issued a crucial "don't stall, just call" warning to pensioners who risk missing out on the Winter Fuel Payment.
In their most recent email, the MSE team highlighted that over 800,000 individuals are currently not claiming Pension Credit and encouraged them to apply now to secure the Winter Fuel Payment. The MSE team stated: "We've long urged all lower-income pensioners to check if they're due Pension Credit. Now it's even more important.
If you reached State Pension age before April 6, 2016, or have savings or a second pension, you might qualify for the savings credit component of Pension Credit. This is valued at £17.01 a week for singles, or £19.04 a week for couples.
