Sainsbury's shoppers are being urged to spend £1
Millions of Sainsbury's shoppers are being warned not to miss out on some cash over the next few weeks. Some 18 million people in the UK have a Nectar card, opting them into the supermarket's loyalty scheme.
An article included in Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert newsletter this week says some Nectar card holders can claw back extra points, which can then be spent as cash in store and online. MSE experts say "all you need to do here is spend £1 or more", adding that it's "a no-brainer if you were planning to do that anyway".
However, not all Nectar members can take part. Sainsbury's said "selected customers" can access the promotion, which can be found in the Nectar app. MSE adds that anyone who has been chosen to take part will see a "tile" in their app, that reads something like: "Fancy bagging bonus points? Shop 5x at Sainsbury's and bag bonus Nectar points. It's as simple as that".
You'll need to spend £1 or more at a time in store or online at Sainsbury's, and the offer runs until Tuesday, August 6. MSE adds that you could earn hundreds of extra points, up to a few pounds to spend at Sainsbury's Argos, eBay, and more.
