More than 54,500 people across the UK have already completed the boiler challenge
Earlier this week, Martin Lewis issued a stark warning to every energy customer across the country following Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s announcement that the UK Government’s £2,500 energy price guarantee will end next April. The consumer champion took to social media to advise people that energy bills look set to hit an eye-watering £4,350 from April.
One energy and money-saving tip he encouraged every household with a combi boiler to take is the ‘boiler challenge’ which, according to MoneySavingExpert.com could save you over £100 in the next year on energy bills. This is similar to the boiler tweak we reported on recently, you can find out more about that here.
The challenge simply involves changing the current flow temperature to a lower one, something that you probably won’t even notice the difference with, but it will help to reduce your energy bills.
