The money guru took to X to share with his followers that Santander has launched a new switch deal which could prove very lucrative. Put simply, he’s suggesting you make one change which will make your money work harder for you.
This includes 1% cashback on all your dreaded and unavoidable expenses like council tax, energy, broadband, phones, water and paid-for TV bills. Then you also get 1% cashback on debit card spending at supermarkets, on fuel and train and bus travel – making that weekly shop slightly less painful. Martin estimates for an average household, this will equate to £80 to £100 extra in your account a year, and that’s after the cost of the account.
