The Money Saving Expert has issued a word of advice to millions of people to help get on the property ladder
Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis is urging everyone born between 1985 and 2006 to put £1 in a savings account as soon as possible.
The government offers a special savings scheme that aids young individuals in purchasing a home worth up to £450,000. Despite Martin's attempts to persuade Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to increase this amount, it remained unchanged.According to Yorkshire Live, Martin said: "I think it's unfair and it's not your fault house prices have gone up since 2017 but the Lifetime ISA hasn't and you were encouraged to do what you were encouraged to do. And he didn't do anything.
If you were born between 1985 and 2006, Lewis shares a tip that's perfect for you today. You can save up to £4,000 each year in a special account until you're 50 years old. You need to start before you turn 40.
