Martin Lewis and Adrian Chiles issued a warning to savers on the latest episode of the BBC Sounds' Money Clinic podcast - with the Money Saving Expert founder explaining why you need to switch savings accounts
Martin Lewis has sounded an alarm for individuals with £3,600 in savings, stressing the importance of being in the correct Savings Account. On the latest episode of his BBC Sounds podcast, which he co-hosts with Adrian Chiles, the Money Saving Expert founder discussed the benefits of a regular savings account.
"They give much higher rates of interest on small amounts of money. And many people get in touch with me outraged when they see at the end of the year, we can fade the Hallelujah right now, when they see at the end of the year how little interest they have, because they go, hold on, I've got 3,600 in there. It's paid 7%."
"And that would be the interest you get. Now, the reason I chose to talk about First Direct is because this week it has relaunched its free 175 switching bonus.", reports Birmingham Live.
