Martin Scorsese has revealed that he’s spent a lot of his recent spare time watching Derry Girls 🙌
When she was informed of the famous filmmaker’s comments, Derry Girls’ creator and writer Lisa McGee couldn’t contain her excitement.
‘Excuse me while I drop dead and actually die a death,’ she joked to her 135,000 followers on Twitter – many whom expressed congratulations. Actress Siobhan McSweeney, who played Sister Michael in the series, was also taken aback by the news that Scorsese had been watching their work.Lisa McGee was proposed for freedom of the city of Derry earlier this year
This morning, she logged on to Twitter, saw the video, and simply said: ‘Good morning, I’m dead’, with an accompanying skeleton emoji.after the show’s success.
