Jorge Martin looks set to be given the nod from Ducati management to step up to the factory MotoGP team in 2025, according to media reports.
This weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Mugello has always been earmarked by Ducati management as the moment it wants to finalise its factory team line-up for 2025. However, earlier this week it told Motorsport.com that it would not make the official announcement on its decision at Mugello. The race for the second factory Ducati seat has become between championship leader Martin and six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez.
On top of that, the marketing value Marquez brings to Ducati far exceeds that of Martin.
