The women’s equal pay claim was dismissed on the grounds that they had previously reached pay settlements with the BBC.Judge Goodman said that although the four women could not bring a claim for equal pay, they can make claims on age and sex discrimination which is set to reconvene in March.As well as defending its recruitment process, the BBC also denied the claims that the four women were paid less than their male counterparts.
A BBC spokesperson said: “We are pleased with the result and that the tribunal has accepted our position. We will not be commenting further at this stage.”
