I am not often excited about new Marvel projects these days. The movies have, for the most part, lost their luster. The shows are hit-and-miss, thoughgame that was—like so many other EA projects in a galaxy far, far away—ultimately cancelled before it could see the light of day (though she is working on a"richly cinematic action-adventure”will also be a cinematic action-adventure game, as is made obvious by the pretty cool-looking reveal trailer.
Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos—S.H.I.E.L.D super-soldiers tasked with taking on the likes of Hydra;Judging by the trailer, the primary focus will be on Captain America and Black Panther, which makes sense. The trailer was unveiled during the Epic Games’ State Of Unreal event and showcases the graphical features of Unreal Engine 5.4 and the MetaHuman Animator facial tech (used in games likeIn any case, while it’s impossible to say how this will actually play, it certainly has piqued my curiosity. An MCU game set in WWII is a nice change of pace, for one thing, and coming from a respected writer and game director like Hennig makes the project even more exciting.
Finally, the fact that it’s not focused on being a live-service game, with no co-op or multiplayer, means the devs can focus on telling a great story rather than churning out endless repetitive content. There’s a time and place for both types of games, but I think we need more Marvel and Star Wars single-player experiences. I just hope it isn’t cancelled before it sees the light of day!
