A Living Legend, the Sentinel of Liberty, the First Avenger – Cap has heard it all. But more often than not, Steve is considered to be a Man Out of Time. But even Captain America knows that nickname doesn’t really apply these days.
Speaking to Steve, Lyra says, “I have sometimes heard you called a Man out of Time. But we both know that’s not really true. Factual, yes, but not true. Not the core of it…or of you." Going further, she clarifies Steve’s role as a man not necessarily out of time, but a man always looking for a home, and she’s completely right.
2 Captain America Lost His Home, Not His Time Steve Has Always Been On The Move Close As Lyra points out, even before Cap became a super soldier and was frozen for decades, Steve Rogers himself had already lost practically everything. Having lost his parents, his health, and his home, the only thing left for Captain America to fight for was his country.
