NetEase Games has announced that Chrono Tokens , the in-game currency used to unlock items in Marvel Rivals ' battle pass , will not transfer between seasons. This means players will need to grind out daily missions to earn new tokens for each season's battle pass . While battle pass es never expire, earned Chrono Tokens will be wiped at the end of a season. To mitigate losses, NetEase will automatically redeem surplus Chrono Tokens for remaining battle pass items before the season end s.
Players who own the premium battle pass will benefit most from this system. Nevertheless, fans have criticized the removal of earned currency, as it renders daily missions pointless once a battle pass is completed
