It's quick and made with simple ingredients while still being delicious - plus, you only need one pan to make the sauce and a pot to cook the pasta

Mary Berry's "posh" spaghetti recipe offers a tasty twist on the classic pasta dish, swapping out traditional tomato sauce for a luxurious cream base. The TV star explained: "Similar to carbonara, this will become a go-to special supper dish. Use pappardelle or tagliatelle instead of spaghetti if you prefer."

What's more, it requires just one pan for the sauce and a single pot for the pasta. This means less time is spent on washing up afterwards, reports the Express.Start by trimming the asparagus spears and thinly slicing the stalks diagonally. Dice the bacon, finely chop the leek and mushrooms, and grate the parmesan cheese into separate bowls.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water according to the packet instructions. Three minutes before the pasta is due to be ready, add the asparagus.
