Former X Factor contestant Mary Byrne has embraced new challenges after her time on the show, becoming a podcaster and Panto performer.
Former X Factor star Mary Byrne has been keeping busy since her time on the talent show in 2010. Now 65, the Irish singer has reinvented herself with a new career as a podcaster and a passion for Panto . Byrne initially rose to fame after her stunning rendition of Tom Jones' 'I Who Have Nothing' during her X Factor audition. Though she didn't win, she captivated audiences with her talent and finished in fifth place.
These days, Byrne has traded her brunette locks for a white blonde cropped hairstyle and has launched 'The Wise Owl Wans Podcast' with Irish actress and writer Eilish O'Carroll. The podcast explores topics like love, life, and family through the lens of two seasoned Irish women. Beyond podcasting, Byrne has taken on the role of the Fairy Godmother in a production of Cinderella at Liberty Panto in Dublin. She also recently embarked on a nationwide tour of her one-woman show 'Check Me Out', which features a mix of songs and stories
