A single mother recounted the terrifying experience as masked men vandalized her Range Rover on Christmas Day . Stevie Greenough, 34, was preparing for Christmas with her two daughters when chaos erupted. While spending time with her 17-year-old daughter and putting her 10-year-old to bed, she heard her teenage daughter screaming followed by loud smashing noises.
Upon rushing to the front door, she witnessed a horrifying scene of four masked men attacking her vehicle, smashing windows and the sunroof. Her teenage daughter managed to escape the attackers by the skin of her teeth, thanks to her boyfriend who pulled her inside just as one of the masked men chased her up the path. Stevie believes the attack was targeted, explaining that earlier in the evening, she had noticed a vehicle circling her street repeatedly, even stopping outside her home. She even expressed her feeling that something was going to happen to her friend who was visiting at the time. After the attack, the masked men fled the scene in a car, prompting Stevie to call the police. The incident left Stevie and her daughters traumatized, ruining their Christmas festivities. They were forced to spend the day at Stevie's grandad's house, unable to feel safe in their own home.Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene in the early hours of Christmas Day and arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage. He was later released on bail while investigations continue. Stevie is now urging anyone in the area with doorbell or CCTV footage to check it and report any suspicious activity to the police. She hopes that by sharing her story and appealing for help, they can bring those responsible to justice and prevent similar incidents from happening to others
