Star Mason Greenwood believes returning to Manchester United could solve his parents’ marriage problems
Greenwood, 22, joined the Madrid-based club last September in a bid to rebuild his career after he had charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault were dropped six months earlier.
When asked about potentially re-signing Greenwood, he told Radio Marca: "If it depends on the boy and the parents, he will continue another year. "He had not played for 16 months when he arrived and we have recovered him, he has scored 8 goals in the League and 2 in the Cup and he has given a great performance."What I think is that he is going to stay. "It's going to be another year or half a year, until January. This year starting from scratch can be a spectacle."But new shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently opened the door for a shock return for the England international.
"So the answer is 'Yeah, we have to make decisions. It's quite clear we have to make a decision. There is no decision that's been made."We've got one or two footballers that we have to deal with and we have to make a decision on so we will do that. The process will be: understand the facts not the hype.
