Such sentiments were seen across the numerous objections, with many fearing the project will exacerbate existing issues of drug use, vandalism, and other forms of antisocial behaviour. This unease has been compounded by worries about local policing resources. With existing antisocial behaviour already straining the police, some residents are sceptical that the area can handle the influx of potentially vulnerable individuals.
